For 20 years, he has been working on quantum informatics and quantum communications, and wrote his PhD thesis on the relationship between the quantum world and space communications. Currently, he is the head of the Mobile Communication and Quantum Technologies Laboratory at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Informatics of the BME and the head of the Quantum Communication Programme at the National Laboratory for Quantum Informatics. He has more than 150 scientific publications, has been involved in several R&D projects in quantum computing and teaches several courses in quantum computing and quantum communication at the University of Technology. His work has been recognised with several national and international awards, most notably the "IAF Young Space Leadership Award" from the International Astronautical Federation in 2017, the most prestigious international award for space scientists aged 18-35, the only Hungarian recipient to date.
